The Ukrainian way of adapting quickly is revealing that we don’t need the fancy finishes and furniture of western coffee shops. Humans want authentic quality and connection to each other. Provide that. 🇺🇦👏

Thank you for this, I read every post but today’s just shows how much resilience there is in the people of Kharkiv. I pray every day for Ukraine’s victory, 31 months ago I had no idea we’d still be here now, and I pray it takes far less than another 31 months to achieve a lasting peace through victory.

I've never been to Kharkiv but have many friends from there. All of them moved away, unfortunately.

I don't know if you're aware: there is an ongoing joke among Ukrainians about people from Kharkiv. Every time you have a conversation with them about any city, they will tell you how Kharkiv does it better (has cleaner parks, more garbage bins, better cafes, etc.) They genuinely love their city so much. I understand why so many people stay despite the obvious dangers..

I have to say they do have an astonishing number of litter bins. There is definitely something special about Kharkiv that makes me want to keep going back…
